Revolution Softball, Details Here

Updated Sunday April 7, 2019 by SGSA.

The Sonoma Revolution is a competitive softball program geared towards players who are interested in a more intensive, competitive softball experience.  While it does require both time and financial commitments, girls who participate will receive a softball education that is more advanced than in recreational softball, as well as a positive team experience representing Sonoma in tournaments around the bay area and beyond.

Below are some details for each age group.

Who is eligible:

Any girl who played in the 2019 SVGSA recreational league is eligible to tryout and play in the Sonoma Revolution summer program.

NOTE: Girls who “played up” an age group for rec league may tryout for their appropriate age in travel ball.

To Recap the age requirements:

If your daughter was 8 or younger on or after January 1, 2019, they may tryout for 8U
If your daughter was 10 or younger on or after January 1, 2019, they may tryout for 10U
If your daughter was 12 or younger on or after January 1, 2019, they may tryout for 12U

To be clear, trying out for the Sonoma Revolution does not automatically mean your daughter will be selected to play for that team. Prior Revolution participation also does not mean your child will be automatically selected to play in the current season.

Only 13 players max. will be selected for each age group, so they will need to bring their best to the tryout.
